Shivam Classic Waterproofing Felt is a prefabricated plastic - elastic membrane, formed by reinforcing polymeric bitumen with a tough layer of High Molecular High Density Polyethylene film at the central core. It is further finished with a thin polythelene film on outer surface.

Shivam Classic type is used in more than 35 countries and more than 100 million sq. meters has been waterproofed successfully. The life of the treatment is more than double if Shivam Classic Waterproofing Felt is used and vast sums of money spent in redoing the roofs at short intervals is avoided. Price wise Shivam Classic is not much costlier than Hessian based felt and unlike Hessian cloth price of polythelene film does not vary due to crop failures. Shivam Classic is a single laminate felt which is 100% waterproof when compared to four layers of an almost waterproof Hessian based materials.
Shivam Classic Waterproofing Felt does not deteriorate with age as condensation and bacteria cannot attack the plastic core. The Polymeric Bitumen Coatant is much different from the standard asphaltic coatant used in Hessian base felt and has a high melting point and penetration & is completely non-flow at high summer temperatures
